Modern Americana Music

Longevity is not the Point

Things are happenin’ here at Whiskey Boys central. For six years Mark and I have created, produced and performed our music, and this time has been a fulfilling artistic expression for me. Starting from our early days at Berklee College of Music, we have grown together as musicians and friends. Mark has decided to pursue other creative projects and will be leaving the Whiskey Boys after our October 18 show at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA. I am sad to see him go and eager to see where his journey takes him.

Looking to the Whiskey Boys’ future, I am excited about the new possibilities that are arising from working with another innovative guitar player, musician and composer: Michael Warren.

You may have seen Mike playing bass with the Whiskey Boys in recent months, but I have known for years that he is a brilliant guitarist in his own right. With a background in blues, rock and jazz he brings many of same harmonic flavors to the band that longtime listeners expect from the Whiskey Boys.

I am in the process of booking a late October/November, 2012, tour that will debut Mike as the Whiskey Boys’ new guitarist and at the same time debut many new songs, tunes and arrangements (with a healthy dose of old favorites, of course!)

I hope you can attend at least one of Mark’s last shows between now and October 18 to wish him the very best in all his future creative pursuits.
